At the end of every class, I like to provide a Resource Page with follow-up reading and materials that you might find motivational, helpful, or simply interesting. Every class I teach has its own unique page — I hope you find something of value here!
Let’s start with this: social media is saturated with curated visions of each profile owner’s “best self” — simply scrolling through your feeds can lead to self-judgement, negative self talk, and can have you feeling less positive than when you arrived. To provide you with some positivity and some healthy social messaging, here are a few inspirational Instagram profiles to follow — just to make your life a little happier (and to combat the social trend of “compare and despair”):
- Liz and Mollie
- Pudgy Penguins
- Becoming UnBusy
- dinosaur couch (this ons is just a personal favorite)
PODCASTS (these links are for Apple Podcasts, but you can find these anywhere you listen to podcasts!)
- Happy Place (Fearne Cotton)
- How To Fail, with Elizabeth Day
- Best Friend Therapy (Elizabeth Day and Emma Reed Turrell)
- GriefCast (Cariad Lloyd) – especially helpful if you’re looking for a podcast on dealing with grief
- Bryony Gordon’s Mad World (Bryony Gordon)
